We are currently working remotely and continue to run group therapy and offer individual support and casework help to members of the Room to Heal community.
In 2007 five asylum seekers gathered around the fire at an inner city garden in London to grow food, share stories, and support each other through the challenges they faced.
Our community has grown to one hundred strong. Men and women from thirty different countries united by their experiences of torture and violence, the struggles of life in exile, but more than that the desire for hope, relationship, and a life of meaning.
We offer long-term support, practical and therapeutic, tailored to each individual. Our members view Room to Heal as a family, a secure base that helps them withstand the many challenges they face.
Through belonging to the Room to Heal community, people are able to move from a place where life feels as though it’s over, to one where hope and meaning become possible.
“I can see the transformation in my life - I came when I had lost trust in pretty much everything but right now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
“Room to Heal is an extraordinary place of generosity and courage…”
